- Spend 5 min reading this article and be ready to discuss the following questions:
- What is the overriding interest of a manufacturer, with their Robots?
- Whenever a safeguarding device signals a robot to stop, what should have happened?
- It is not necessarily the robot that is the only danger. What other things could be dangerous in a Robot work cell?

- 7:40 - 8:40 -Robot Work Cell Safety Logic
- ABB Robotics - Safe human robot interaction - SafeMove
- Robot Safety 1989 NIOSH (18-50)
- Robot Accidents - Pair/Share - get into teams of 2 and look at the following articles. Pick out 2-3 accidents and discuss what happened, what error the worker made, and what safety equipment could have made the worker safe? Turn in your thoughts for 1-2 accidents to Turn in - Infinite Campus - https://metropolitanca.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/metropolitan_edu.jsp
- Lecture - Signals from Robot Workcell Safety Equipment - PDF Presentation
- LAB - Draw a Robot Safety Logic Circuit.
- Pair/Share - Get into a pair... can be different the safety acctivity
- Discuss a Robot Workcell. Identify, list and label all signals for any safety equipment in your Robot Workcell.
- Draw the logic needed to do this. You can use https://logic.ly/demo/ if you would like to simulate. Turn in a Logic Schematics showing the AND and OR gates for your Robot Workcell for your team. Use the paper and pencils on the book shelf. One page per team. Put both your names on it.
